Swimming with Paddles

paddles  Well during this mornings workout I found that one of the important parts of your stroke is the finish. When I was using my paddles I found the I had a tendency to slip water and not fully finish my stroke. If you take a look at the above photo you will see the proper way to finish your stroke. Again I had to think, think, think! If you are intense during your training you can accomplish this. Also continue to work on your body position and hip shoulder rotation….By the way now that Coach Ginny and I have been training three days  we are starting to get into shape ( now don’t get us wrong when we talk about getting into shape consider that I am 71 and Ginny is 70 years old) So our workout which is about 1500 yards in about 45 minutes to an hour …..Hopefully within the next few weeks we will increase our yardage

  1. Great comment about the use of paddles you may ad that when using paddles you should get rid of the lower strap holding the wrist, this will allow you to press with more force and makes you finish the stroke without loosing the paddle.
