Brrrrrrrrr….Baby it’s Cold out there
Today I must admit I miss South Florida. As of this post the temperature is 2 degrees …and it is snowing, we have about 6″ so far this morning. The I-70 Corridor into the ski area is closed, they are expected to get about 30″ up there today….So I miss the warm balmy South Florida weather. Those of you who are coming up here to ski for the Christmas break, your in for some really good snow….but you have to dress warm…..Have a good day, Coach Pete
By the way I put on my LZR longjohns before I went out to shovel off my driveway…And wouldn’t you know it; I did it 2 seconds faster than I did last week without them on…….

About Coach Pete
Hi, this is Coach Pete Spagnuolo. I have recently retired from a long and successful career of over 40+ years of coaching. During those years, I have developed Junior Olympic, Sectional, and Zone Champions. I am an active member of the American Swim Coaches Association and am a Certified US Swim Coach.
I have recently relocated to Loveland, Colorado, leaving sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I was the head Age Group Coach for Team Weston Aquatics. I have coached national and international swimmers with world renowned U.S. Olympic Coach Jack Nelson at the Swimming Hall of Fame, Canadian Olympic Coach Nick Baker of Peak Performance Swim Camps, and Venezuelan National Team Coach, Tomas Victoria at Team Weston. I have extensive knowledge and experience in teaching stroke technique and stroke development.
In addition to being an age group coach, I am also a Masters swim coach and triathlete coach . I have coached three Hawaii Ironman Finalists and have been the personal coach of Jennifer Magnission, one of Florida’s top female triathletes.
I am writing this blog to share my wealth of experience and knowledge with fellow coaches, swimmers and swim parents. I hope you enjoy my posts and find them useful in your training and swimming careers.
