Thank you all for your interest in my blog
It has been nearly a year since I started writing this blog. I admit I am not much of a writer, but I just try to convey to you what I feel and think about this great sport of competitive swimming. I loved every minute of my coaching career and admit I still have a hard time over not being on the pool deck any longer. This blog has been my way of still being a small part of the sport I love so much. I want to take this time to thank all of you who have been readers of my blog. I am proud to say that we have reached 25,000 hits in this year and again I thank you….I especially want to thank my faithful swimmers from South Florida for their kind support……

About Coach Pete
Hi, this is Coach Pete Spagnuolo. I have recently retired from a long and successful career of over 40+ years of coaching. During those years, I have developed Junior Olympic, Sectional, and Zone Champions. I am an active member of the American Swim Coaches Association and am a Certified US Swim Coach.
I have recently relocated to Loveland, Colorado, leaving sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I was the head Age Group Coach for Team Weston Aquatics. I have coached national and international swimmers with world renowned U.S. Olympic Coach Jack Nelson at the Swimming Hall of Fame, Canadian Olympic Coach Nick Baker of Peak Performance Swim Camps, and Venezuelan National Team Coach, Tomas Victoria at Team Weston. I have extensive knowledge and experience in teaching stroke technique and stroke development.
In addition to being an age group coach, I am also a Masters swim coach and triathlete coach . I have coached three Hawaii Ironman Finalists and have been the personal coach of Jennifer Magnission, one of Florida’s top female triathletes.
I am writing this blog to share my wealth of experience and knowledge with fellow coaches, swimmers and swim parents. I hope you enjoy my posts and find them useful in your training and swimming careers.
