Tri-Athlete Training Tip
At the left is a good illustration of proper head position for breathing. Note also the high elbow recovery of the stroke. To help you practice “sighting” while you are working out, try to swim 3 or 4 strokes …then lift your head straight up out of the water and sight an object at the other end of the pool. Doing this will enable you to get use to sighting in open water.
