Daniela Victoria Trying to Qualify for the 2008 Olympics
Daniela will be competing in San Marino Italy at the end of April in the Copa Latina Meet to try and qualify for the Venezuelan Olympic Team that will compete in Beijing this summer. Daniela is a member of Team Weston Aquatics and trains at the Midtown Athletic Club in Weston Florida under Coach Tomas Victoria, her father. Daniela has been one of Florida’s top female breaststorker’s and will be attending the University of Florida in the fall. Our hearts go out to her and we all wish her luck in her pursuit of making the team
About Coach Pete
Hi, this is Coach Pete Spagnuolo. I have recently retired from a long and successful career of over 40+ years of coaching. During those years, I have developed Junior Olympic, Sectional, and Zone Champions. I am an active member of the American Swim Coaches Association and am a Certified US Swim Coach.
I have recently relocated to Loveland, Colorado, leaving sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida where I was the head Age Group Coach for Team Weston Aquatics. I have coached national and international swimmers with world renowned U.S. Olympic Coach Jack Nelson at the Swimming Hall of Fame, Canadian Olympic Coach Nick Baker of Peak Performance Swim Camps, and Venezuelan National Team Coach, Tomas Victoria at Team Weston. I have extensive knowledge and experience in teaching stroke technique and stroke development.
In addition to being an age group coach, I am also a Masters swim coach and triathlete coach . I have coached three Hawaii Ironman Finalists and have been the personal coach of Jennifer Magnission, one of Florida’s top female triathletes.
I am writing this blog to share my wealth of experience and knowledge with fellow coaches, swimmers and swim parents. I hope you enjoy my posts and find them useful in your training and swimming careers.
